How to apply

Applying to sell is free. You do not need an active membership to apply — Seller membership starts only after we approve you, and even then on your terms.

The form

Open /apply-to-sell and fill in:

  1. Name, address, email
  2. Seller type — private collector, small business (Kleinunternehmer §19), or business
  3. Tax residency country — required for DAC7 reporting
  4. A short note about your collection — a few sentences about what you sell, why and since when. Don't over-write it.
  5. Optional reference link — your Discogs profile, eBay store, or any other public sales history
  6. Expected listings per year — 1–10, 10–25, or 25+. Helps us recommend a tier.
  7. Pre-agreement checkbox — basic conduct rules. The full seller contract comes after approval.

You will get a confirmation email and can track the status of your application at /account/seller-status.

What happens next

We review applications manually. Frank reads each one. We are looking for:

  • A clear focus on records that fit our catalog (industrial, experimental, electronic, krautrock, avant-garde — broadly)
  • A history of careful selling, when there is one
  • Realistic expectations about volume

We say yes to applications where the fit is clear, ask for more info when something is unclear, and decline when the focus is wrong (we're not a general-purpose marketplace).

Timeline

We typically respond within 5 business days. If we need more information, the status page will show a structured question and you can answer in the same UI.

After approval

When approved, you sign the seller agreement, pick a Seller tier (€8/month for 10 slots a year, or €14/month for 20), and get access to the listing wizard. See Listing slots and yearly quota for how quota works.
