Reporting a listing
If a listing seems wrong — counterfeit, illegal content, misrepresented condition, or just clearly bogus — flag it. Every public listing has a "Report this listing" link in the menu.
When to flag
- Counterfeit / bootleg that's listed as original
- Illegal content — explicit violence/exploitation, hate speech, items prohibited under EU law
- Major misrepresentation of condition (not just disagreement — clear photo/grade mismatch)
- Stolen goods if you have reason to believe so
- Off-topic items that don't fit our niche
- Spam or scam patterns — same seller relisting the same item endlessly, prices that look like phishing bait
When not to flag
- You think the price is too high — not a violation; just don't buy
- You don't like the seller's tone in their description — not a violation
- Two listings look similar — duplicates are sometimes intentional (different copies)
How to flag
- Click "Report this listing" on the listing page or in the menu (
…). - Pick a reason from the dropdown.
- Add an optional note (we read every one).
- Submit.
We send you a confirmation email. We do not share the flag with the seller in a way that identifies you.
What we do
Every flag goes into a review queue read by a human. For most flags, we make a call within 1–2 business days:
- Listing pulled — if the flag is justified
- Listing flagged for seller to clarify — if there's ambiguity
- No action — if the flag is unfounded (we don't tell you "you were wrong", but we close it)
For serious cases (suspected illegal content, suspected counterfeits), we act faster — usually within hours.
What happens to the seller
Single flags don't trigger automatic action. Patterns do:
- Multiple flags against the same seller → internal review
- Confirmed misrepresentation → warning + listing pull
- Repeat patterns → suspension
- Confirmed illegal activity → permanent ban and, where appropriate, reporting to relevant authorities
You can also flag a profile, not just a listing
If a seller's overall behaviour seems problematic — patterns across many listings, threatening messages, abusive behaviour — flag the profile via support@vod-auctions.com with the seller handle and the specifics.
Anonymity
We don't tell sellers who flagged them. Some sellers will guess based on context (e.g., the flag mentions a recent unhappy conversation), but we never share names.
False flags
Bulk-flagging a competitor or filing flags in bad faith violates our terms. Repeat bad-faith flags can lead to buying-account suspension.
