Shipping & customs (EU vs. non-EU)
We are an EU-based marketplace operated from Germany. Most sellers are in the European Union. This makes shipping easier than for US-based marketplaces — but only if both sides of the transaction are in the EU.
EU → EU
Free movement of goods. No customs. No import VAT for the buyer. What you see on the listing is what you pay. Carriers used by sellers typically include Deutsche Post, DHL, DPD, GLS or local equivalents.
Delivery times depend on the route — domestic German shipments often arrive in 1–2 working days, intra-EU usually 3–7 working days.
EU → outside the EU (or vice versa)
If you are buying from outside the EU, expect three additional things on top of the listing price and shipping:
- Import VAT in your country — typically 19–25 % of the parcel's declared value plus shipping. The rate depends on your country.
- A carrier handling fee — typically €6–€10. The carrier charges this for filing the customs paperwork. DHL, FedEx and UPS all do this.
- Possibly a duty rate for the goods themselves — used recorded music usually attracts a low or zero rate, but your country's customs authority has the last word.
We do not collect these on our side and we cannot tell you the exact amount in advance. The estimate we show on listings is a band, not a guarantee.
What we ship
Sellers package records using stiff mailers, corner protection and outer sleeves so the cover does not arrive bent. See Packing records safely for the standards we expect from sellers.
Tracking
Most shipments come with a tracking number. You will see it in your account once the seller marks the order as shipped. We send you an email at the same time.
